Art!

Art! is a musical set in the world of Tin Pan Alley in 1950's London. The eponymous Art is a struggling songwriter, years ahead of his time, who has to come to terms with the harsh realities of the cheesy pop-music scene of the time.

Liz

Baz was musical director for Liz, a musical, written by Peter Myers and Ronnie Cass, based on the Aristophanes play, Lysistrata.

The show premiered at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury in the summer of 1968 and starred Ron Moody, in the part of Aristophanes, heading a large cast including, among many others, Sally Smith, Bill Maynard, Jenny Wren, Sheila White and Dana Gillespie.

Liberty Ranch

Baz was Musical Director for Liberty Ranch, a wild-west musical written by Caryl Brahms, Ned Sherrin, Dick Vosburgh, with music by John Cameron, based on She Stoops To Conquer by Oliver Goldsmith. Directed by Gillian Lynne and starring Bill Kerr and Elizabeth Seal, it ran for several weeks at the Greenwich Theatre in the early 70s.

Friar Tuck

Baz composed the music for Friar Tuck, a musical with book and lyrics by Robert A. Gray which played in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the mid 70s.

Grease

Baz was musical director for the original UK production of 'Grease', starring Richard Gere.
